Flattop Mountain Shuttle
In Anchorage, Alaska on 4th Ave between C & D
at Downtown Bicycle Rental

A 28-MILE (low key) CIRCUIT TOUR OF ANCHORAGE
AND AN UNGUIDED (mountain)
HIKE

ABOVE IT FOR ONLY $22.

A scenic, safe, active and affordable 3.5-hour outdoor excursion suited to your individual needs.  We drive you 13-miles (30 minutes) from downtown Anchorage to the trailhead.  No guide is needed on this popular, easy to follow trail.  On average, it takes one hour to hike from the parking lot to the summit.  This allows 30 minutes to walk around the mountain's flat top and photograph the great views  Some bring lunch.  It takes about 45 minutes to descend.
On the way up, if you decide the hike is too strenuous or too steep, no worries, turn around wherever and whenever you want.  If you're a fast hiker, consider going to the second or third peak.  Up there you'll run along a ridgeline.  Unlike on the Flattop trail (as you can see from the photos) up there, you'll likely be alone.  No matter how far or fast you hike, the great views provide a reward for every footstep.  Even on cloudy days, it's still a great hike.  And the ride to and from the trailhead is a great way to see Anchorage.  See more/pay less with the Flattop Mountain Shuttle.
