Flattop Mountain Shuttle provides van transportation from downtown to the trailhead and back for $22 per person. The Shuttle leaves from 4th & C at 1 p.m. and gets to the trailhead at 1:30. Flattop Mountain is the most-frequently climbed mountain in Alaska. 

We provide shuttle service between downtown Anchorage and the Glen Alps trailhead in Chugach State Park.

Chugach State Park is nothing short of spectacular with Flattop Mountain as a great starting point. The half a million (yes, half a million!) acres promise plenty of room for excellent adventure, with many trails suitable for short hikes, weeklong backpacking and mountain biking.

    Flattop is Alaska’s most visited peak. Ascend the 1.5 - mile, 1,350 vertical foot trail to the rocky, football field-sized summit in about an hour and take in panoramic views of Mt.     If you want vistas without the hike, walk the short path from the parking lot to the overlook. The more adventurous can hike from the parking lot 5 miles one-way to the scenic Williwaw Lakes or climb 5.5 miles to Wolverine Peak. Arrives at the trailhead

   Flattop Mountain Trail. This is a great place for a nice long, gorgeous hike up Flattop Mountain. You won't regret this hike. At the very top of the mountain, you'll be treated to a great view. The van departs the trailhead

Flattop Mountain Shuttle offers you excitement in Anchorage, Alaska. Starts at a wooden staircase and switchbacks through hemlock until reaching alpine tundra at Blueberry hill. Last few hundred feet are steep & rocky. Views are spectacular from the 3550 ft peak. Clear days show Mt. McKinley and Mt Redoubt. If time permits, ontinue along the ridge to the southeast to the next two peaks, elevations 3658 ft. and 4111 ft. for more spectacular views.

Hike Alaska Anchorage Flattop. Flattop Mountain has been rated easy-moderate due to the elevation gain in the short distance and bad trail conditions near the top. This trail has several challenges, especially as you approach the summit.
