Ptarmigan Peak

From the top of Ptarmigan Peak looking west. The furthest peak is Flattop and behind it are its second, third, fourth and fifth peaks. One of two ways to get to the base of Ptarmigan is to climb Flattop first, then tackle the peaks and ridgeline in-between.

For a different route back, descend from the Ptarmigan saddleback down the north face to the Powerline Trail. From there it is a flat 3-mile hike back to the parking lot. The Powerline Trail and South Fork of Campbell Creek are on the right.

The quickest way to get to the base of Ptarmigan is to ride a bike down the Powerline Trail then lock it to a tree. The six-mile round-trip bike ride and then the hike up and down should take between 3 and 5 hours.
